The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on Monday failed to stop the anticipated judgement of Justice Mohammed Idris of the Federal High Court in Lagos in a suit challenging the hike in electricity tariff.
 
The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, refused to hear an appeal lodged by the commission against the ruling of the lower court stopping it from implementing the hike pending the final determination of the suit.
 
The presiding judge, Justice Amina Augie, said that the record of NERC's appeal has not been properly entered because there were irregularities in its numbering.
 
A legal practitioner, toluwani adebiyi instituted the suit.
