The increase in electricity bill is pitching consumers in Akwa Ibom State against the electricity company.
 
When STV crew visited the office of PHED, Uyo, some of the consumers besieged the office seeking explanation for the sudden increment in the electricity bill. 
 
The aggrieved consumers said the increment was not commensurate with the electricity supply in their area. 

 They called on the State Government, House of Assembly, Civil Society Organizations to investigate and bring to book those involved in the arbitrary allocation of charges to consumers in the state.
