Google To Open First Physical Retail Store In New York

American multinational technology company, Google is ready to open its first retail store to sell devices.

This development is coming at least 20 years to the day after Apple opened its first retail store.

The company made public the opening of its first retail store on Thursday, with emphasis that it is opening its first physical retail store, called Google Store, this summer in New York City, CNN reports.
There is a plan to also sell some items like: Pixel phones, Nest products, Fitbit devices and Pixelbooks while the store will be located under its offices in the Chelsea neighborhood, where it employs many of its more than 11,000 employees in the city.
Interestingly, there are other services almost like Apple’s Genius Bar concept, which will be adopted. alongside the retail idea. Google will employ “experts” to help customers troubleshoot issues, fix a cracked Pixel screen or help with installations.
Meanwhile, a source has revealed that the company tagged it “an important next step in our hardware journey.”
