The month of July, 11 has been named as the date, renowned business mogul Richard Branson will fly to the edge of space or very soon after.
His Unity rocket plane, will be conveying him there as he will sit on the passenger side of the plane.
Before the plan started, for at least two decades, Virgin Galactic company has been developing Unity rocket plane in the US.
On some key features the plane possesses, it has the capacity to give those onboard a few minutes of weightlessness and a view of the curvature of the Earth since it can climb to an altitude of 90km (295,000ft).
While he is embarking on this journey, there is also a plan to initiate a commercial version of the trip. This will be a commercial spaceflight service.
So far, the idea is getting attraction as about 600 individuals have indicated interest and already lodged deposits to take the ride.
Considering he business opportunity that is embedded in this idea customers are now getting extremely close to having to hand over the full ticket price, which in some cases will be $250,000 (£180,000).
In regards to this development, the British Entrepreneur has made comments. He said, “I truly believe that space belongs to all of us. After 17 years of research, engineering and innovation, the new commercial space industry is poised to open the Universe to humankind and change the world for good.
“It’s one thing to have a dream of making space more accessible to all; it’s another for an incredible team to collectively turn that dream into reality.”
