After a brief interruption, Amazon services AWS and Alexa are back online.

After a brief outage on Sunday, Amazon announced that both its voice assistant service Alexa and its cloud computing business Amazon Web Services (AWS) were operational once again.

According to Downdetector, hundreds of customers in the US had trouble accessing AWS while thousands of users in the US experienced difficulty with Alexa. Users also complained about difficulties using the Amazon smartphone app.

At the height of the issue, Downdetector, which analyzes outages by compiling status reports from various sources, including user-submitted mistakes, revealed more than 16,000 alerts regarding Alexa.

According to an email from an Amazon official to Reuters, Alexa is currently functioning correctly.

AWS stated on its website that the problem, which prevented users from opening new accounts and caused them to see error messages pertaining to their billing panel, had been resolved.

According to its website, AWS’s billing panel aids in managing ongoing payments and payment methods linked to AWS accounts.
