As the internet giant plays catch-up in a quick-moving race on AI technology, Google announced on Friday that Bard, its generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, will receive an update to assist individuals in writing code to develop software.
To gain an advantage over Microsoft Corp. (MSFT.O), the business started the public release of Bard last month.
The introduction of ChatGPT, a chatbot from Microsoft-backed firm OpenAI, last year sparked a rush in the tech industry to make AI more accessible to people.
According to Google, Bard is an experiment in collaborative generative AI, a technique that uses historical data to produce content rather than recognize it.
According to the firm, Bard can also optimize code to help it run more quickly or effectively by asking, “Could you make that code faster?”
A limited number of users can currently access Bard, which allows users to talk with the bot and ask inquiries rather than using Google’s standard search engine.
